In the 1950s, within their ramshackle tailor shop in Waianae, by the west shore of Oahu's big-wave Makaha breaks, tailor M.Nii created the original boardshort called the “Makaha Drowners.”  The more weathered and beaten the Makaha Drowners became, the greater the badge of honor. Many surfers liked the "fade" of them so much that they'd make bets to see who could keep a pair on longest.

Today, we carry on the M.Nii legacy by recreating the original Makaha Drowner trunks and re-imagining some of the original pieces into a modern day apparel collection.
